Max’s writing about hook in day.
Today it was our hook in day for inquiry.
We went to Wellington, Queenstown, Kaikoura, Rotorua and Auckland- that was our class.
In our class we have a cool boat.

Here's our story of Kapai The Kiwi

The old school bus chugged happily
Down Rangetiki Street
We stopped out side Kapai's house
That's where we were to meet.

The bus chugged on around the square
And Kapai yelled with glee
There's the famous clock tower,
Much bigger than any tree.

And what was that up ahead
With a crowd that gathered round
It's the mighty Turbo's rugby team
Arriving at the ground.

Then we headed out of town,
Us kids were heard to cry,
There are all the windmills
Up against the sky.

We arrived at Whakarongo school,
Just as school began,
Horray for Kapai Kiwi
Was the happy song we sang

4/7/11: This week is we are celebrating Maori Language Week. This compliments our Inquiry topic-, Kapai the Kiwi's Tiki Tour around New Zealand nicely. I hope you enjoy learning the Maori place names for places that are important to you.
